Design Advisor | Gumption Inc. | 2023 - Present

Provides guidance on product design and design research strategies for an early-stage AI/consumer tech company democratizing expert home design.

  • Shapes 0-to-1 prototyping strategy for an emerging consumer tech platform, ensuring new features start with real user needs in mind.
  • Advises on marketplace strategy—providing guidance on which template designs and independent brand products to include, and explaining the rationale behind each recommendation to align with business goals and user preferences.

Principal Designer | Senior UX Design Manager | Gap Inc. | 2019 - 2023

A key member of Gap Inc.'s strategy team, where I led creative direction for Old Navy's New Ventures Studio, driving omni-channel innovation and high-priority initiatives to enhance customer experiences across ~1,200 retail locations and online platforms.

  • Led a complete redesign of Old Navy’s fit standards - Old Navy faced mounting returns and negative feedback about inconsistent sizing, putting its reputation at risk. I led a foundational design sprint that reimagined the customer experience with innovative fit tools, setting Gap Inc.-wide sizing standards and saving the company over $120 million through reduced returns and improved retention.
  • Old Navy was struggling with slow, costly ways to test new ideas, making it harder to innovate quickly. I led a 25-person team to design and launch The Imagine Lab, a fully modular store for testing and experimenting with new omni-channel concepts in real time. The lab saved money, reduced risks, and became a powerful tool for driving creativity and shaping Old Navy’s future.
  • Increased net sales by 14% through strategic planning, creating presentations, journey maps, and blueprints that attracted new customers.
  • Led cross-functional teams to bring bold ideas to life, fostering collaboration and driving smart business decisions through a human-centered design approach.
  • Inspired creativity by leading design-thinking workshops and sprints for over 40+ partners, solving problems, and building empathy across departments.

  • Designed an interactive user journey map summarizing strategies to improve patient service experience: this work seeded Sutter Health’s Scout, a digital platform supporting youth mental health.
  • Conducted foundational design research and collaborated with senior stakeholders to enhance patient journey experiences. I conducted over 100 hours of in-person research, including interviews, presentations, and workshops, to understand youth healthcare needs.

  • Led a global, cross-functional team to design, develop, and launch a web application.

  • Conducted user research in five North American cities to refine the platform’s design and user experience.

  • Co-founded Tablo, a SaaS platform that transformed static PDFs into interactive, user-generated magazine archives, enabling readers to crop, tag, and annotate content.
  • Led product vision, UX strategy, and design execution while managing a global team of designers and engineers to deliver an engaging platform.
  • Designed front-end components using Adobe CC, Sketch, HTML, and CSS, while collaborating with back-end systems (AWS, Rails) to build a seamless and searchable platform.
  • Conducted comprehensive UX testing with interviews, surveys, and analytics to refine the user experience.
  • Partnered with VOGUE and Dwell to pilot Tablo, demonstrating how digital tools can bring legacy media to life and engage new audiences.
