Tablo was a modern, interactive magazine archive of for millennials—moving beyond static PDFs and scanned images. We started it as a passion project, aiming to build a visual archive from the most beautiful magazines. Inspired by the joy of clipping pages and our love of Rap Genius’s UX, we created a user-generated database that people could explore and add to, where people could crop, annotate, tag, and rediscover the pages of beautiful magazines.
Tablo was a SaaS white label software that was piloted in private beta with Vogue and Dwell magazine with creative professionals and select magazine subscribers.

The most complex and challenging interaction we designed involved allowing users to clip or cut out an entire page or specific components of a page. These clips were then indexed and made searchable for others to find and use later.
