Contemporary Art World

I actively engage with the art world as an ally and contributor to Creative Growth and Quarterly Report, where I help with ensuring both gallery and artist are supported and celebrated. This involvement keeps me inspired and aware of emerging trends in the art world. I spent the better part of my formative years as an artist and curator having received my BFA in Fine Arts, Mount Allison, NB, and MA in Curatorial Studies, Bard College, NY. While I no longer practice as a curator, I find that a lot of what shaped how I think about people’s experiences I owe to my education and practice in the contemporary art world.

Experimenting

I thoroughly enjoy making things. I tinker, play, experiment, and try and make things better. I love playing with food, beverage, digital design, furniture design, and interior spaces. The goal for everything is always the same. It’s taking a few components or ingredients with the hope of creating an experience that satisfies either the senses or fulfills a need. A lot of what I make fails, but it’s the constant pursuit of delight or perfection that drives me and ultimately influences how I design people’s experiences.
